Yurisangja’s Lee Se-joon to perform in LA Miracle Concert to benefit leukemia
Yurisangja singer Lee Se-joon will perform Saturday inside a Los Angeles church to benefit leukemia patients and the developmentally disabled as this year’s Miracle Concert artist.
The concert will be held at 6 p.m. inside Berendo Street Baptist Church, located at 975 S. Berendo Street.
“Through the values of volunteering and sharing held by the Miracle Concert, I feel as though this show will help cleanse my mind, too,” Lee said.
Among the songs performed will be the Yurisangja hit “Can I Love You” and Christian song “The World’s Most Precious Story.”
“It’s been 20 years since I became a musician, but still the joy it gives me is unchanging,” he said. “I’m at the point in my career where I can choose what and which kind of music I want to do, so I’m happy.”
Though Yurisangja is in high demand as an end-of-the-year concert performer, Lee flew to Los Angeles to lend his hand to the Miracle Concert because, he said, it was what he wanted to do.
He leads the Nanum Mihak campaign, a business that provides donated clothes and food to the needy, provides charcoal briquettes to low-income seniors in South Korea and works toward setting up orphanages and helping create jobs for disadvantaged populations overseas.
The concert is organized by Ktownhope and Lee’s agency, Youstarmedia, and will also feature a special appearance by “KPOP Star Season 4″ musician John Choo.
Tickets are $20 and available at the door. Call 213-435-6622 for more information.
