Zico, Seol-hyun part ways after relationship was confirmed last month
SEOUL, Sept. 28 (Yonhap) — Zico, a member of boy band Block B, and Seol-hyun from girl group AOA have split up just a month after their relationship went public in August, their management agencies said Tuesday.
“The two have decided to part ways,” an official from Seven Seasons, Zico’s agency, told Yonhap News Agency by phone. “The breakup was due to personal reasons. I can’t elaborate on the specifics because it’s a matter of the stars’ privacy.”
Seol-hyun’s agency FNC Entertainment also confirmed the separation.
“The two have felt a lot of pressure from the public’s attention on them after their dating news spread,” the agency said. “Moreover, they have naturally become estranged due to busy schedules.”
In mid-August, the two idols had confirmed their relationship after rampant speculation from the public. The couple claimed that they had been together since March, after becoming more attached while overcoming difficult times.
