2NE1 tops Billboard World Digital Songs’ chart
(Yonhap) — The South Korean girl group 2NE1 has topped Billboard’s World Digital Songs’ chart for its 2011 hit song “I Am The Best,” the U.S. musical news service said Tuesday.
“2NE1 has earned the first No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Songs after a big sales week for their K-pop hit ‘I Am the Best’,” billboard.com said, adding that it is the only non-Psy K-pop song to hit No. 1 on the chart.
Originally released in June 2011 on YouTube and radio, the song sold 6,000 copies last week, marking the best sales week ever for any 2NE1 song, the service said.
The song’s official music video topped 100 million views over the weekend, making the quartet the second K-pop girl group to hit that mark after Girls’ Generation, which has done so three times before, it said.
“The booming dance-rap track is currently being used in Microsoft’s brilliant Surface Pro 3 ad and appears to be connecting with its U.S. audience.”
In March, 2NE1′s second full-length album, “Crush,” set a new record for the highest-charting and best first-week sales for a K-pop album in the United States, ranking 61st on the Billboard Albums’ chart with 5,000 copies sold.

I knew 2NE1 could do it!! So many doubted them and they continue to prove the skeptics wrong.
Haters gonna hate but in the end 2NE1 is having the last laugh. Congrats ladies for a hard fought and well deserved win.
