Big Bang joins Billboard Hot Tours list w/ $1.7M in revenue from LA stop
Big Bang may have made their first comeback in three years singing “Loser,” but numbers from their recent North American tour prove them as anything but — Billboard Hot Tours has ranked the band No. 10 in concert revenue for their Los Angeles stop at Staples Center on Oct. 3.
The five-member band pulled in a reported $1.7 million from a sold-out show with 13,361 fans, Yonhap reported.
Joining Big Bang on the list — which compiled numbers from Oct. 6 to 12 in box scores — were Shania Twain, AC/DC, The Foo Fighters, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, who came in at No. 1 with $13.6 million made through five concerts.
Big Bang is the only Asian artist on the list.
The band’s North American tour began in Las Vegas before taking them to Los Angeles, Anaheim, New Jersey, Mexico and Canada, drawing in approximately 87,000 fans.
