Exam Day
November 7, 2013
On a chilly Thursday morning, high school seniors taking the 2013 College Scholastic Aptitude Test (CSAT) hurried to examination rooms urged on by their juniors’ cheers.
Police motorcycles carried some latecomers to get them to the test venues on time. Parents stayed on even after children were out of sight, offering prayers for a successful result.
Some 650,000 examinees took the CSATs. The “small pictures” above were repeated many thousands of times nationwide.
Some students cried after feeling they performed poorly on the test, some smiled anticipating good results and others just sighed with relief knowing that their odyssey had ended at least for now.
