Top South Korean actress Ha Ji-won has been named a promotional ambassador for this year’s Hanbok Day, the Hanbok Advancement Center announced Monday.
An event celebrating the day, to be held at Gyeongbok Palace Wednesday, will feature a fashion show, Yonhap reported.
The actress’s promotional activities will include a photo shoot to promote hanbok, as well as videos to spread information about the traditional dress.
Ha is a Hallyu star who has starred in a number of television dramas — “Damo,” “Hwangjini,” “Empress Ki” — in hanbok.
