Korean student from L.A. found dead inside Tijuana hotel
A male Korean student from Los Angeles was found dead inside a downtown Tijuana hotel in Mexico.
According to the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico, the 18-year-old man, identified only as Cho, was found on Friday.
Local police found no evidence of homicide and say Cho looks to have died from hemorrhaging of the lungs, the ministry said.
An investigation has been launched into the exact circumstances of Cho’s death.
“We don’t exactly know why Cho, a resident of L.A., was in Mexico,” a ministry spokesman told The Korea Times by phone. “The police are in the process of investigating.”
Cho’s mother and older sister, who live in L.A, and his father, who lives in Korea, are known to have arrived in Mexico upon hearing the news.

samuel — do you think I could get in touch with you? I know it’s been a long time since it’s happened, but I’d like to visit his memorial if you know any details at all.

Jay’s twitter has a lot of information about his trip to Tijuana and some vague reasoning to why he went to Tijuana in the first place. His twitter is @doctorjaaay
