NY Korean American Kevin Oh wins ‘Superstar K7′
November 19, 2015
Kevin Oh, a New York native and Dartmouth graduate who threw in his name to Korean audition program “Superstar K7″ for a chance at the top prize, saw his dream come true Thursday.
Oh, 24, is the winner of the seventh season.
The live episode, which aired from inside Kyunghee University in Seoul, pitted Oh against Cheon Dam-bi, the other finalist, in a final show-off.
Scores were taken both from judges and from online and text message voting.
The Korean American will receive a 500 million won (about $432,000) prize, as well as an album release and the chance to perform at the MAMA awards this year.

So proud of Kevin, a terrific singer (and impressive thinker) even back in his Wheatley days, where he had a loyal and substantial following.
Congratulations, Kevin!
