World’s first hologram musical to be put on in South Korea
January 6, 2015
SM Entertainment will put on the world’s first hologram musical.
The South Korean K-pop giant announced Tuesday it will screen a musical — “School OZ,” starring its K-pop stars — inside SMTOWN Theatre on Jan. 14 in Seoul, Yonhap reported.
Starring TVXQ’s Changmin, f(x)’s Luna, SHINee’s Key, Red Velvet’s Seulgi and EXO’s Suho and Xiumin, the fantasy musical takes place in the magical land of Oz and runs 110 minutes.
According to SM, the screening will use a floating hologram on a transparent screen installed to 45 degrees on a stage.
The agency will also screen “Girl Story,” a hologram concert featuring Girls’ Generation’s Yoona and SHINEE’s Minho.
